May 2, 2012: The contractor will be excavating and installing sub-base from Highland to Larkin and fine grading from Ashebrooke to Highland. Between Yorktown and Central, there will be a milling operation. Be aware there may be periods of intermittent closure due to the work conditions and safety of the public and workforce. There will also be digging and stoning the shoulder between I-95 and the Delaware state line.
The West entrance of Foxfield ( towards Goodley Road ) will not be affected. Residents are asked to use the entrance and exit closest to Goodley Road.
The use of the detour is encouraged during this time. The official detour is Rte 261 to Rte 92 to Rte 491. Residents not living in the immediate work areas are asked to travel away from the work zone.
